Spring GPASPEN 2017 program

“Addressing Malnutrition: best practices in nutrition screening and assessment”

Thursday April 6, The LeMont Pittsburgh

This course will provide an overview of malnutrition, nutrition screening, and nutrition assessment in the setting of hospitalized patients.

At the conclusion of the course, attendees will be able to:

  1. Outline the prevalence of hospital related malnutrition and its impact on outcomes.
  2. Review the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and ASPEN Consensus Criteria for diagnosing malnutrition and describe the process for implementing in hospital settings.
  3. Describe the opportunities for success in malnutrition documentation.

Get your holiday spirit on with us at Dots & Doodles art studio!  We’ll be painting pottery ornaments while munching on snacks.  No prior art skills necessary – just come prepared to have fun!  The studio is BYOB, so attendees are welcome to bring a festive beverage to share.

Haunted Downtown Pittsburgh Ghost Tour

Join us for a spirited walking tour of downtown Pittsburgh.  Enjoy a treat and socialize with colleagues while learning a bit of ghoulish history of the city.
